Send Transcriptions to Notion
Push transcripts and summaries into a dedicated Notion database for archiving, searching, and team knowledge bases.
The Notion integration creates a database called "TranscribeNext Meetings" inside a Notion page you choose, then adds each transcript as a new entry with metadata and the full transcript text formatted as Notion blocks.
Important
Notion integration is available on PRO and BUSINESS plans. The integration connects to your personal Notion workspace; team-shared workspaces are not supported by the OAuth scope.
Connecting Notion
- 1Open your dashboard and go to Integrations
- 2Find the Notion card and click Connect
- 3You will be redirected to Notion — sign in and approve access
- 4Pick which Notion pages TranscribeNext can see (you can grant access to one page or several)
- 5After approval, you return to TranscribeNext and a setup screen opens
- 6Select one Notion page from the list. TranscribeNext will create a "TranscribeNext Meetings" database inside that page
- 7Click "Set Up" — the database is created automatically with the correct columns
Pro Tip
Pick a page that has room for a new sub-database, like a dedicated "Meetings" or "Recordings" workspace. The database lives there permanently and gets new entries every time you send a transcript.
Sending a Transcript Manually
- 1Open any transcription from your dashboard
- 2Click the Share button in the toolbar
- 3Choose "Send to Notion"
- 4A new entry is created in your Notion database with the file name, transcript text, and a link back to TranscribeNext
- 5A toast confirms success and offers a link to open the new Notion page
Auto-Sending New Transcriptions
To push every completed transcript to Notion automatically, open Settings → Notifications and enable "Send to Notion when transcription completes". After that, each finished transcription creates its own Notion page without you having to click Share.
What Each Notion Entry Contains
- **Title** — the transcription file name
- **Date** — when the transcription was completed
- **Duration** — total length in minutes
- **Language** — detected or selected language
- **Source** — link back to the original transcript in TranscribeNext
- **Body** — full transcript text, converted into Notion blocks (paragraphs, headings, lists)
Pro Tip
Notion blocks are added in batches. If a very long transcript is interrupted partway through, the page is still created — you will see the content that made it through, and TranscribeNext shows a partial-success warning.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on the Notion card in the Integrations page. This stops all future sends and revokes the Notion access token. Pages and the database already created in Notion are NOT deleted — they stay in your workspace as a permanent archive.
Common Errors
- **"Failed to load pages"** — Notion did not return the list of accessible pages. Try reconnecting and make sure you grant access to at least one page during the OAuth step.
- **"Notion page access revoked"** — the page or database was deleted in Notion, or its sharing settings changed. Reconnect and re-run setup.
- **"Notion rate limit"** — Notion temporarily throttled the request. Wait a few seconds and try again.
- **"Notion disconnected"** — token expired. Open Integrations and reconnect.
Limitations
- One database per user — all transcripts go into the same "TranscribeNext Meetings" database
- No per-transcription database routing (cannot send some transcripts to Database A and others to Database B)
- New entries only — re-sending a transcript creates a new page rather than updating an existing one
- One-way push — edits made in Notion do not flow back to TranscribeNext
- Personal workspace only — team-shared Notion workspaces require a different OAuth scope and are not supported
