MCP server

Ask ChatGPT or Claude about your meetings

Connect your AI assistant to TranscribeNext once. Then ask in your own words — it finds the answer in your transcripts, and it can transcribe a new recording for you.

What you can ask

Your meetings, answered in the chat you already use

The assistant searches every transcript in your account, reads the parts that matter and answers with what was actually said.

  • “What did we decide about the budget in last week’s meeting?”
  • “Find every call where a customer mentioned pricing.”
  • “Summarize the interview with Anna and list her open questions.”
  • “Transcribe this recording: https://drive.google.com/…”

Limits

What each plan includes

Searching and reading your transcripts works on every plan. Plans limit the new transcriptions an AI assistant starts.

PlanNew transcriptions a dayLinksEach recording
Free3, website includedGoogle Drive, DropboxUp to 50 MB, 5-minute preview
Plus20, website includedAlso YouTubeUp to 5 hours and 2 GB
Premium50 through AI assistants; no daily limit on the websiteAlso YouTubeUp to 8 hours and 5 GB

Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. Need more than 50 a day through AI assistants? Write to info@transcribenext.com — larger volumes are billed by the hour.

You stay in control

Access you can see and take back

Read only, if you prefer

Untick starting new transcriptions when you allow access, or make a key read only. The assistant can then only search and read.

Only your account

The assistant sees the transcripts of the account that signed in. Never put a personal key in a shared Team or Enterprise connector.

Disconnect any time

Integrations → AI & API lists every connected app and key. Disconnect or revoke in one click; changing your password turns off all keys.

Transcripts stay data

Transcript text the server returns is marked as content from your recordings, so the assistant treats it as data, not as instructions.

Questions about the MCP server

What is the TranscribeNext MCP server?

An address — https://mcp.transcribenext.com/mcp — that lets an AI assistant work with your TranscribeNext account over MCP (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, the assistant can search and read your transcripts and start new transcriptions from a link or a file.

Which AI assistants can I connect?

ChatGPT, Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code), VS Code with Copilot agent mode, Cursor, Codex, Zed and goose sign in; any other MCP client with HTTP transport connects with an API key.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. A free TranscribeNext account connects and can search and read every transcript. On the free plan the assistant can start up to 3 new transcriptions a day, each with a 5-minute preview.

How many transcriptions can the AI start?

Free: 3 a day and Plus: 20 a day, counted together with the website. Premium: 50 a day through AI assistants, with no daily limit on the website. Limits reset at 00:00 UTC. For more, write to info@transcribenext.com — larger volumes are billed by the hour.

Can the AI transcribe a file from my computer?

Yes, in apps that can run commands on your computer, such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor: just ask, for example “Transcribe ~/Downloads/meeting.m4a”. In ChatGPT or claude.ai, upload the file on the website or share a Google Drive or Dropbox link.

Can the assistant change or delete my transcripts?

No. The tools only search, read and start new transcriptions. With read-only access it cannot start transcriptions either.

How do I disconnect?

Open Integrations → AI & API in your TranscribeNext account and choose Disconnect next to the app, or Revoke next to a key.

Connect your AI assistant in a minute
