No need for external recording software! TranscribeNext lets you record audio directly in your browser.

  1. 1Click the "Record" button on your dashboard
  2. 2Allow microphone access when prompted by your browser
  3. 3Select your preferred microphone from the dropdown
  4. 4Click the red record button to start
  5. 5Speak clearly into your microphone
  6. 6Click stop when finished
  7. 7Review your recording with the playback controls
  8. 8Click "Upload & Transcribe"

Audio Quality Indicators

The recorder shows real-time feedback about your audio quality:

  • Waveform visualization shows audio levels
  • Green indicator = Good volume
  • Yellow indicator = Low volume
  • Red indicator = Audio clipping (too loud)

Pro Tip

For best results, record in a quiet room and speak 6-12 inches from your microphone.

Recording Controls

  • Pause/Resume - Take breaks during long recordings
  • Stop - End your recording
  • Play - Preview your audio
  • Delete - Start over

Browser recording works best in Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Firefox support is limited.
