Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security to your account with two-factor authentication.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra security layer to your account. Even if someone steals your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second factor.
Pro Tip
We highly recommend enabling 2FA if you have sensitive transcriptions or use TranscribeNext for business.
What is 2FA?
2FA requires two things to log in:
- Something you know - Your password
- Something you have - A 6-digit code from your phone
How to Enable 2FA
- 1Go to Settings > Account
- 2Scroll to "Two-Factor Authentication" section
- 3Click "Enable 2FA"
- 4Download an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator)
- 5Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
- 6Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app
- 7Click "Verify & Enable"
- 8Save your backup codes in a safe place
Important
IMPORTANT: Save your backup codes! If you lose your phone, these codes are the only way to access your account.
How to Disable 2FA
- 1Go to Settings > Account
- 2Scroll to "Two-Factor Authentication"
- 3Click "Disable 2FA"
- 4Enter your password to confirm
- 5Enter a 2FA code from your authenticator
- 6Click "Confirm Disable"
