TranscribeNext can open your default email client with a pre-filled message containing the transcription link and details.

How Email Sharing Works

  1. 1Click the "Share" button on any transcription
  2. 2Select "Send via Email"
  3. 3Your default email client opens automatically
  4. 4Email is pre-filled with subject and link
  5. 5Add recipients and your personal message
  6. 6Click Send in your email client

Pre-filled Email Content

The email includes:

  • Subject line: "Transcription: [filename]"
  • Body: "Check out this transcription:"
  • Direct link to the transcription
  • You can edit everything before sending

Supported Email Clients

Email sharing works with any default mailto: handler:

  • Apple Mail (macOS, iOS)
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Gmail (if set as default)
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
  • Any desktop email application

Pro Tip

You can add multiple recipients, CC/BCC, and customize the message before sending. The link is already included - just add your personal touch!

Best Use Cases

  • Formal sharing with clients or partners
  • Adding context and explanation to the link
  • Professional communications
  • Sharing with external stakeholders
  • When you want a paper trail of sharing

Web-based Email Note

If you use web-based email (Gmail, Outlook.com) and it's not set as your default handler, the browser may ask for permission. Alternatively, use "Copy Link" and paste it manually into your webmail.

Important

The email feature opens your email client but doesn't send the email automatically. You must complete and send the email yourself.
