Favorites (also called "starred" files) let you mark important transcriptions for instant access, no matter what folder they're in.

How to Add to Favorites

  1. 1Find the transcription you want to star
  2. 2Click the star icon next to the file name
  3. 3Star turns yellow/gold
  4. 4File is now in your Favorites

You can favorite files from any view - Dashboard, Files page, or even within a folder.

There are two ways to see your favorites:

**Method 1: Favorites Tab**

  2. 2Click the "Favorites" tab (with star icon)

How to Remove from Favorites

  1. 1Click the yellow star icon again
  2. 2Star turns gray/outline
  3. 3File removed from Favorites

Removing from favorites does NOT delete the file - it just removes the star.

When to Use Favorites

  • **Important meetings** - Board meetings, client calls, interviews
  • **Reference materials** - Frequently accessed transcriptions
  • **Work in progress** - Files you're actively working on
  • **Best content** - Your top podcast episodes or videos
  • **Templates** - Transcriptions you refer back to often

Pro Tip

Use favorites for 10-20 files max. If you have more, consider using folders for organization.

Favorites vs Folders

**Use Favorites when:**

  • You need quick access to specific files
  • Files are spread across different folders
  • You want temporary "bookmarks"

**Use Folders when:**

  • You need to organize many related files
  • Files belong to the same project or category
  • You want permanent organization structure
