Quickly find any transcription using powerful search and filters.

TranscribeNext offers multiple ways to find your transcriptions quickly, even if you have hundreds of files.

Quick Search on Dashboard

  1. 1Go to your Dashboard
  2. 2Use the search bar at the top
  3. 3Type filename or keywords
  4. 4Results filter instantly as you type

Pro Tip

Dashboard search is great for quick lookups when you remember the file name.

Advanced Search (Find Page)

For more powerful searches, use the dedicated Find page:

  1. 1Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows)
  2. 2Or click "Search all files" link on Dashboard
  3. 3Or click "Find" in the sidebar
  4. 4Enter your search query
  5. 5Press Enter or click Search

What Can You Search For?

  • **File name** - "Meeting with John", "Podcast Episode 5"
  • **Full text** (coming soon) - Search inside transcription content
  • **Date** (coming soon) - Find files from specific dates
  • **Tags** (coming soon) - Search by tags and labels

Search Tips

  • **Partial matches work** - Search "meet" finds "Meeting", "Zoom Meeting"
  • **Case insensitive** - "PODCAST" and "podcast" give same results
  • **Multiple words** - Search for "client call january"
  • **Clear search** - Click X or press Esc to clear

Keyboard Shortcut

**Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows)** - Opens Find page from anywhere

This is the fastest way to search! Memorize Cmd/Ctrl+K for instant search access.

Filter by Tabs

On the Dashboard, use tabs to narrow down results:

  • **All Files** - Shows everything
  • **Created by me** - Only files you uploaded
  • **Shared with me** - Files others shared with you
  • **Favorites** - Only starred files

Search + Filters

Combine search with filters for precision:

  1. 1Click a filter tab (e.g., Favorites)
  2. 2Then type in search bar
  3. 3Results show only favorites matching your search

Can't Find a File?

  • **Check folder filters** - Click "All Files" to see everything
  • **Clear search** - Make sure search bar is empty
  • **Check spelling** - Try different keywords
  • **Sort by date** - Look for recent uploads
  • **Check trash** (coming soon) - File might be deleted
