Every TranscribeNext plan includes storage for your audio files and transcriptions. Understanding your limits helps you manage space effectively.

Storage Limits by Plan

  • **FREE Plan** - 150MB total storage
  • **PRO Plan** - 100GB total storage
  • **BUSINESS Plan** - 1TB (1000GB) total storage

What Counts Toward Storage?

  • **Original audio/video files** - The files you upload
  • **Transcription data** - Text, timestamps, metadata
  • **Processed versions** - Summaries, edited versions

Note: Transcription text is tiny compared to audio files. A 1-hour audio file might be 50MB, but the transcription text is only ~50KB.

Check Your Storage Usage

  1. 1Go to Dashboard
  2. 2Look at the "Storage Used" section
  3. 3See progress bar showing usage
  4. 4Or go to Settings > Account to see detailed breakdown

What Happens When Storage is Full?

  • You cannot upload new files
  • Existing files remain accessible
  • You'll see a warning notification
  • Delete old files or upgrade to continue

Important

When you reach your storage limit, you must delete files or upgrade before uploading more.

How to Free Up Storage

  1. 1**Delete old transcriptions** - Remove files you no longer need
  2. 2**Download then delete** - Export important files, then remove from cloud
  3. 3**Delete original audio** (coming soon) - Keep transcription, remove audio file
  4. 4**Upgrade your plan** - Get more storage instantly

File Size Guidelines

Typical file sizes:

  • **5-minute audio** - ~5-10MB (MP3)
  • **30-minute audio** - ~30-60MB (MP3)
  • **1-hour audio** - ~50-100MB (MP3)
  • **1-hour video** - ~200-500MB (MP4)

Pro Tip

Upload MP3 files instead of WAV when possible - they're 10x smaller with similar quality!

  2. 2Click "Upgrade Plan"
