Changing Your Plan

Switch between PRO and BUSINESS, or change your billing cycle.

Already subscribed but want to change your plan or billing cycle? You can switch plans anytime.

How to Change Plans

  1. 1Go to Settings → Billing
  2. 2Click "Change Plan" button
  3. 3Select your new plan (PRO or BUSINESS)
  4. 4Choose monthly or yearly billing
  5. 5Click "Upgrade to [Plan Name]"
  6. 6Complete checkout if upgrading

Upgrading (PRO → BUSINESS)

When upgrading to a higher plan:

  • ✅ Changes take effect immediately
  • ✅ You get prorated credit for unused time
  • ✅ New features unlock instantly
  • ✅ Billing adjusts to new amount
  • ✅ Next renewal is for the new plan

Downgrading (BUSINESS → PRO)

When downgrading to a lower plan:

  • ⏰ Change takes effect at next billing cycle
  • ⏰ You keep current plan until period ends
  • ⏰ No immediate charge
  • ⏰ Renewal will be at lower price

Important

Downgrading may limit access to some features. Make sure your usage fits within the lower plan's limits before downgrading.

Switching Billing Cycle

You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing:

  • Monthly → Yearly: Immediate change, prorated credit applied
  • Yearly → Monthly: Change at next renewal date

Pro Tip

Switching to annual billing saves you money! You get 2+ months free compared to monthly pricing.

What Happens to My Data?

Your data is safe during plan changes:

  • ✅ All transcriptions remain accessible
  • ✅ Files are not deleted
  • ✅ Export history is preserved
  • ✅ Settings stay the same
  • ⚠️ If downgrading, storage limits may apply

Can I Cancel Instead?

Yes! If you want to return to the FREE plan, you can cancel your subscription instead of changing plans. See the "Canceling Your Subscription" article for details.
